Meet Scott
Leadership Rooted in Service.
Strategy Grounded in Humanity.
Scott Andrews believes leadership is not defined by title, tenure, or technical expertise. It is defined by how we treat people. In an era shaped by rapid technological change, workforce disruption, and institutional fatigue, his work centers on one enduring principle: humanity must remain at the heart of leadership.
For more than two decades, Scott has led complex public organizations across the United States, serving in executive roles in major metropolitan communities, fast-growing suburbs, rural counties, and mission-driven organizations. His career has included leadership positions in Florida, Georgia, California, and New Mexico, where he has guided economic development, organizational transformation, community trust-building, crisis response, and high stakes organizational change.
Scott holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership, a Master of Public Administration, and the designation of ICMA Credentialed Manager. He is also certified in the EQ-i 2.0 Emotional Intelligence assessment, reinforcing his commitment to developing leaders who combine competence with character, strategic clarity with empathy, and performance with humanity.
Through LWL Advisory, Scott helps governments, corporations, governing bodies, and mission-driven organizations navigate growth, change, and complexity. His work includes executive advisory, leadership development, national keynotes, executive recruitment, organizational strategy and facilitation. His distinctive approach combines public sector executive experience, emotional intelligence, and deeply human understanding of leadership.
Beyond the executive office, Scott has become a nationally recognized voice on leadership, emotional intelligence, governance, resilience, and organizational culture. His writing, speaking, and thought leadership reach a professional network of 21,000 people, including public executives, educators, corporate leaders, and emerging professionals.
His signature philosophy, Lead With Love, emerged from both professional experience and profound personal adversity. After navigating loss and seasons of grief, Scott came to understand leadership through the lenses of resilience, empathy, courage, and human dignity. His bestselling book, Violets Are Blue, explores that journey, while his broader body of work examines how leaders can remain deeply human in an increasingly automated world.
Scott speaks nationally on leadership, resilience, emotional intelligence, public service, organizational culture, and the future of work. Whether addressing government executives, higher education leaders, associations, or private-sector innovators, his message remains consistent: systems may evolve and technology may accelerate, but leadership will always be human work.
At the center of Scott’s life is family. He is a husband to Danielle and a proud father. The loss of their daughter, Violet, reshaped his understanding of leadership, purpose, and legacy. Her life continues to inspire The Violet Rule: treat others the way you would want your children or grandmother treated. His son, Miles, and the Andrews family’s continuing story remind him daily that leadership is not an abstract theory, it is a responsibility to the next generation.
“Scott’s Lead With Love philosophy reshapes how leaders connect, communicate, and perform. In an era of rapid technological change, his message keeps humanity at the center of leadership.”
